Manual therapy

The manual therapist specializes in the treatment of patients with complaints of the spine or joints in the arms and legs.

Common complaints that the manual therapist treats

  1. head, neck and shoulder complaints with pain radiating into the arms

  2. high back complaints with rib and chest pain

  3. osteoarthritis of the hip

  4. low back pain, possibly with pain radiating to the legs

  5. certain dizziness induced by moving the neck

  6. jaw complaints, possibly combined with neck complaints.

Joints can also have too much mobility. This can lead to instability and complaints. The manual therapist can, with specific training advice, teach a patient joints by making muscles more stable
